Why is the SIRAS drone being discontinued?
Teledyne FLIR OEM is concluding sales of the SIRAS professional drone to focus on our core strengths: next-generation thermal infrared imaging technologies and embedded decision-support software for defense, automotive, uncrewed, professional, and artificial intelligence applications. This strategic shift will allow us to deliver greater innovation and value to life-saving missions and critical operations.

When is the last day to purchase a SIRAS drone?
The final day to purchase a SIRAS drone from Teledyne FLIR OEM is August 31, 2025. Shipments will continue until all existing orders are fulfilled.

Will support still be available after the product is discontinued?
Yes. While SIRAS sales are ending, our commitment to existing SIRAS customers remains strong. We will continue to provide the following support through September 30, 2027:
- Contracted warranty Services
- Technical assistance
- Replacement parts and batteries (subject to availability)
- Access to existing online documentation and DELTA training resources
- Software and firmware currently in development will be released and critical updates may be issued if necessary

Will accessories and replacement parts still be available?
Yes. Accessories and parts will be available through September 30, 2027, subject to availability. We recommend planning for future needs.

Software and firmware currently in development will be released and critical updates may be issued if necessary, during the support period.

What happens after the support period ends?
After September 30, 2027, Teledyne FLIR will no longer provide technical support, repairs, or parts for the SIRAS drone.

Yes. User manuals, documentation, and training resources will remain accessible on the SIRAS support page through the end of the support period and beyond.

Can I still buy a SIRAS drone from a distributor?
Teledyne FLIR officially ended SIRAS sales on August 31, 2025 and will end support on September 30, 2027. Some resellers may have remaining inventory—please contact them directly for availability.

No. This change allows Teledyne FLIR to focus on its core offerings: advanced thermal camera modules and embedded software. Teledyne FLIR Defense continues to offer cutting-edge drone platforms like SkyRanger, Black Hornet, Rogue 1, and SkyRaider.

What are recommended alternatives to SIRAS?
While Teledyne FLIR OEM no longer provides SIRAS drone airframes, our thermal infrared modules are integrated into platforms from Skydio, Red Cat, and others. Teledyne FLIR Defense also offers advanced UAS platforms such as SkyRanger and Black Hornet.
