(NASDAQ: FLIR) announced today that it has acquired Aeryon Labs Inc., a leading developer of high-performance unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for the global military, public safety, and critical infrastructure markets for $200 million. FLIR Systems Awarded $39.6 Million Contract for Black Hornet Personal Reconnaissance Systems for US Army Soldier Borne Sensor Program
WILSONVILLE, Ore. – January 24, 2019 – FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) has been awarded a $39.6 Million order to deliver FLIR Black Hornet Personal Reconnaissance Systems (PRS) in support of the United States (U.S.) Army. The highly capable nano-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems delivered under this contract will support platoon and small unit level surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities as part of the Soldier Borne Sensor (SBS) Program. The U.S. Army awarded in June 2018 the first SBS phase contract to FLIR for an initial batch of Black Hornet PRS. These systems are being delivered now to the U.S Army for initial integration into the force.

FLIR Systems Awarded $89 Million Contract from French Armed Forces to Deliver Black Hornet Personal Reconnaissance System
WILSONVILLE, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 18, 2019-- FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announced today it has been awarded a contract from the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) in support of the French Operational Pocket Drone (DrOP) program. The contract has a ceiling value of $89 million to provide the FLIR Black Hornet® 3 nano-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and Personal Reconnaissance System (PRS) to support French Armed Forces operations.

FLIR and World Wildlife Fund Announce Effort to Combat Rhino Poaching in Kenya
WILSONVILLE, Ore. – January 8, 2019 – FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) today announced the Kifaru Rising Project, a multi-year effort in collaboration with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to deploy FLIR thermal imaging technology to help improve wildlife ranger safety and contribute to their mission to stop illegal wildlife poaching of rhinos across 10 parks and game reserves in Kenya. Kifaru Rising includes a pledge by FLIR of more than $3 million in thermal imaging technology, engineering assistance, and training with the goal of eliminating rhino poaching in Kenya by 2021.

Earlier today, I had the honor of joining World Wildlife Fund (WWF) CEO Carter Roberts at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to announce the Kifaru Rising Project, a collaboration between our organizations to end the poaching of rhinos in 10 parks and game reserves in Kenya using FLIR thermal technology. Our collaboration with WWF in the Kifaru Rising project signifies the broadest scale deployment of FLIR technology for wildlife protection and represents a vital step to help save these endangered animals. We’re confident in the project’s purpose based on dramatic results we’ve experienced in several years of smaller scale testing with WWF and rangers in Kenya.

Boeing-Leonardo Team Selects FLIR Systems EO/IR Surveillance Sensors for US Strategic Command UH-1N Replacement Contract
WILSONVILLE, Ore., December 19, 2018 – FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announced today it has been selected by Boeing Co to provide the FLIR Star SAFIRE 380-HDc EO/IR surveillance sensor for the USAF UH-1N replacement contract. The replacement program will replace the current fleet of USAF UH-1N helicopters, which support the service’s nuclear intercontinental ballistic missile bases in Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota. The aircraft will also be used for training, test and operational support airlift missions. The initial contract award to FLIR is for the first four helicopters, with the total contract up to 84 MH-139 helicopters and valued at more than $40 million to FLIR.
