The Advantages of LWIR SLS Thermal Cameras
Thermal infrared cameras have reimagined how we perform thermal measurements for research and science testing. In recent years, we’ve seen significant readout and camera electronic advances that push the limits of resolution, speed, and sensitivity.
-
High Speed Thermal Cameras – the Need for Speed
Measuring heat with thermocouples or spot pyrometers can leave you with an incomplete picture of a device’s thermal properties. These traditional methods don’t offer the resolution or speed needed to fully characterize high speed thermal applications. Infrared cameras, on the other hand, capture thousands of points of high speed thermal measurement, showing you exactly where heat is flaring up, and how fast. With the right infrared camera, you can gather reliable measurements and generate compelling data for your research.

Mass Spectrometers
FLIR Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometers GC/MS accurately detect and identify explosives, drugs, CWAs, TICs, environmental pollutants and a wide range of other chemicals.
-
Enzyme Synthesis for Chemical Agent Point Detectors
FLIR possesses proprietary technology in the synthesis and application of enzymes and other protein-containing polymers. Most notably, this technology is used in our chemical agent point detectors.
-
Three New Electrical Test and Measurement Meters with Thermal Imaging
FLIR announced three test and measurement tools with thermal imaging today that give electricians and heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) pros a range of new equipment options.

5 Sidekicks Infrared-Inspecting Superhero’s Should Never Be Without
With all the incredible “superpowers” infrared technology offers, just like with any technology, it has its limitations and needs support. That’s why our friends over at the Infrared Training Center (ITC) created this short video, outlining every thermographer's top-five sidekicks in the field. Consider the below five items the Robin to your Batman, because every great superhero, even thermal, needs a sidekick and these are the five you should never conduct a thermal inspection without.
